Whether you are new to the sport or experienced in judo, already attend the University or if you are thinking about attending, please get in touch to register your interest and find out more about the club.
At the beginning of each academic year throughout Orientation Week the University hosts a Sports Fayre, giving prospective players the opportunity to talk to club members and sign up to various ‘Give It A Go’ sessions.
If you are thinking of joining the Judo Club you can:
- Drop in to a training a session and see if you like it

You don’t need to own a judogi (kit) to join the club and take part. All equipment and kit is available through the club.
All matriculated students at the University can join the Judo Club. For academic year 2020-21 the club offer two membership categories:
- Full Year – £50
- Semester – £30
Judo Club membership gets you four coached sessions a week on the mat, one of which is taken by Karen Cusack, a Commonwealth Games Bronze Medallist. It also provides access to club resources for competitions, gradings and social events.
Sports Centre Membership
Please note that all Judo Club members will need to purchase a Sports Centre membership in order to participate and access facilities.
